Commercial Development Consulting

Civil Engineering plays a vital role in the planning, design, permitting and construction of commercial development projects. P. M. P. Associates, LLC provides these civil engineering services in a lead role directly for our clients or as part of a project design team.

The initial services provided to our clients for a commercial development project typically involves a due-diligence review of:

  • Local zoning regulations,
  • Local by-laws,
  • Planning Board regulations
  • Availability of utilities,
  • Wetlands & floodplain issues.

An initial client meeting to review our findings concerning the anticipated use of the property, allows our clients to make educated decisions regarding the viability of a project as well as the risks and limitations.

Local regulations requiring the submission of detailed design documents for Site Plan & Special Permit approval are becoming more and more restrictive. When these regulations are combined with local Board of Health and Conservation Commission by-laws, the design and permitting of a commercial project expands to a higher level of complexity. In some instances, a project will need relief from local Zoning By-laws in order to achieve the design goals of the project.
